Mimicry – Things are not always what they seem

A number of bizarre and banal finds are brought together here in a new perspective. Once again, I have done my best to compile what I believe to be correct in as unscientific a manner as possible.

All insects have six legs. These collected miniatures here all have six legs. So they are all insects. That’s what I say!

The truth is: on closer inspection, there is (almost) no insect here at all. Honestly.

Pine cone scales, shards of porcelain, chocolate wrappers, electronic waste, willow catkins, nutshells and all sorts of other trivial things. I could also list the remains of tablet packaging and found buttons. All newly found together on woven paper strips. I cannot guarantee that this list is complete. Just believe what else you see.
