Plant remains and small pieces of waste are given a new lease of life here. Pine cone scales, a berry, a palm seed, a bean, fragments of coneflower, flower remnants and grasses colonize their habitat between mirror fragments, a jay feather and small pieces of paper and metal waste. If you think you recognize the signs of an old typewriter, you’ve typed correctly. Similarities with real insect species are of course purely coincidental. Overall, the collage measures approximately 9 x 12 cm. The passe-partout cut-out made of acid-free raw white paper measures 14 x 14 cm. The silver-plated wooden object frame gives this unusual work an elegant touch. The work is sealed dust-tight in the frame. The frame is fitted with a suspension system.
